U.S. Fire Administration Firefighter Fatality Notification - West Fork, ME

The United States Fire Administration (USFA) has received notice of the following firefighter fatality:

Incident Description: Fire Chief Rowe suffered a heart attack and died while en route to a rescue call involving a fatal snowmobile accident. The West Forks Fire and Rescue emergency medical personnel who had been at the snowmobile accident came to Rowe’s aid and performed lifesaving measures, but Rowe succumbed to his injury.

Incident Location: Interconnecting Snowmobile Trail 87 near Moxie Pond.
