The United States Fire Administration (USFA) has received notice of the following firefighter fatalities:

Fire Department Chief: Dennis Bolick

Incident Description:  Firefighters Bolick and Wright were returning home from fire department mandated training when the vehicle in which they were traveling was involved in a two vehicle collision. Both Bolick and Wright were killed and the cause of the accident is under investigation by the North Carolina State Police.

The United States Fire Administration recommends everyone should have a comprehensive fire protection plan that includes smoke alarms, residential sprinklers, and practicing a home fire escape plan.
