The United States Fire Administration (USFA) has received notice of the following firefighter fatality:

Incident Description: At 0508hrs on March 10, 2010, Beacon Hose Co was dispatched to a report of a structure fire.  Fire Police Captain Swan signed on the radio network but did not arrive at the station or incident scene. Captain Swan was found unresponsive around 0800hrs inside his pickup truck in his driveway. The nature and cause of fatal injury is under investigation.
