The United States Fire Administration (USFA) has received notice of the following firefighter fatality:

Incident Description: Lieutenant Vorwark was working the third outdoor fire call of the day, mopping up hotspots, when he collapsed from an apparent heart attack. Vorwark’s crew carried him back to their apparatus parked along the roadway nearby where they immediately began CPR and utilized their AED. All efforts to revive Lt. Vorwark, however, were unsuccessful.
