The United States Fire Administration (USFA) has received notice of the following firefighter fatality:

Incident Description: On 01/30/2009, Firefighter/EMT Myshrall responded to an EMS call.  At the conclusion of the call, he was walking down the resident’s driveway when he slipped and fell on an unmaintained driveway.  He was transported to the hospital where it was determined that he tore his quadriceps muscle from the ligaments connecting it to the knee.  After consultation with a specialist, he was underwent surgery on 02/03/2009.  Myshrall had been sent home and was recuperating when he suddenly collapsed and passed away on 02/26/2009 in his home from complications from the surgery.

Funeral Arrangements: Visitation was held from 4-8 p.m., Monday, March 2, at the Coventry-Pietras Funeral Home.  A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 3, at St. Mary Church.  Burial followed at St. Mary Cemetery.
