The Nation's news media is reporting the following residential fire (non-arson) fatalities:

  • 3 dead Occurred Saturday, 1/31 Charity Chapel, AL (Mobile, AL Pensacola, FL):  A nine-year-old girl and two 11-year-old boys were killed in a home fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
  • 3 dead Occurred Friday, 1/30 Healdton, OK:  A woman and her two children, 3-year-old boy and 18-month-old girl were killed in a home fire. Fire officials believe the fire was caused by a space heater.
  • 1 dead Occurred Monday, 2/2 – Mystic, CT (Hartford New Haven, CT):  A person was killed in a mobile home fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
  • 1 dead Occurred Sunday, 2/1 – Lonoke, AR (Little Rock, AR):  A three-year-old boy was killed in a home fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
  • 1 dead Occurred Sunday, 2/1 – Williamstown, PA (Philadelphia, PA):  A 69-year-old man was killed in a home fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
  • 1 dead Occurred Sunday, 2/1 – Abilene, TX:  A woman was killed in a home fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
  • 1 dead Occurred Sunday, 2/1 Augusta, GA:  A two-month-old was killed in a home fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
  • 1 dead Occurred Saturday, 1/31 North Huntington Township, PA (Wilkes Barre Scranton, PA):  An 83-year-old woman was killed in a home fire. Fire officials believe alternative heat sources caused the electrical system to malfunction and start the fire.
  • 1 dead Occurred Saturday, 1/31 Gainesville, GA (Atlanta, GA):  A 62-year-old woman was killed in a home fire. Fire officials believe the fire started from combustibles being too close to a heater. The home had no working smoke alarms.
  • 1 dead Occurred Saturday, 1/31 Wichita, KS:  A 28-year-old woman was killed in a home fire. The fire was caused by unattended cooking.
  • 1 dead Occurred Saturday, 1/31 Lehi, UT (Salt Lake City, UT):  A man was killed in a home fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
  • 1 dead Occurred Saturday, 1/31 Willow Spring, NC (Raleigh Durham, NC):  A 66-year-old man was killed in a home fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
